Okay so I am totally sick of the snow already....sick of shoveling it, sick of looking at it, sick of it freezing everything! I only like it on christmas and then it can go away!
I'm glad I got that off my chest. Today Evan had his second injury ever! He bonked his head on the corner of one of his tool boxes and cut his head, blood everywhere. Doesn't need stitches though, thank God and he seems to be fine. He ate dinner and is playing fine. Way to scare a mom though!
I am getting geared up for all my fundraising this year! I have the Wish-a-Mile for my dad, who is riding in the 50k bike tour, and Relay for Life of course is my families big one. Sara's Stubborn Souls, my relay team, is getting in gear to recruit some more teammates and have a big time FUN! We'll see how dedicated people can be though.
I am hoping to get together with some of my friends this weekend for some much needed mom time! The winter time seems so isolating to me, it could be the fact that I have no working vehicle though too! LOL.
I got some scrapbooking done today, only three pages, but I got some done. I taught Evan how to use kid sissors today and he is doing such a good job and he cut up paper for at least an hour sitting next to me scrapbooking. I enjoyed "us" time doing that, and he did too!
Evan seems to be more creative with his words lately and sounds so grown up and knowledged. Today he says to me, "Mommy, we need to make Nana and Papa a Valentine, cause we love them." Okay, good reason. We talked about that one time in a store weeks ago and for him to relate that to our craft time was remarkable to me for a 3 year old. He is so smart.

Happy New Year!!!!
Welcome 2011!
Much has happened since my last blog... We had a wonderful christmas! Spent christmas eve at my mom's with jeff and crystal, mom and tom, and maryjo and cameron. It was a light dinner and we played left, right, center (a dice game played with quarters). Evan played well and is learning his left from his right very well.
We went a bit overboard at christmas on our little man, but he is our only child! After we opend all our gifts at home and spent time playing, eating and napping we went to visit the Graham's at Brandon and Ashlee's new house! Wow! Is it gorgeous!!!! Very spacious for their big family and much more room for more. Everyone was there and everyone was happy! After much food and many gifts everyone departed, but us. Ashlee had challenged me to a dance off on the Wii to michael jackson's new dance game. Wow! What a workout and it was awesome! I want a Wii now! After our round of dancing it was Wes and Brandon's turn to dance off..... Holy pee my pants laughing, it was hilarious and Ashlee, I and the kids couldn't stop laughing until they were done! Whew!
On to new years... we just stayed home with lil' man and rented movies. Nothing too exciting but we couldn't get a sitter and didn't need to spend any money anyway! Evan passed out about 10:30 and we made it to 1:00 or so.
We celebrated mom's birthday on jan. 3rd by inviting them over for tri-tip, and if you haven't tried it yet, you are missin out! Ask your local meat department, or go see Wes at Polly's! It was fun and nice for us to finally have them over for a chance.
My dad and maria are heading to Africa for work on January 11th. They will be gone for 6weeks or so. My dad hasn't been there since vietnam. It should be exciting for him to see the sites again. Maria was there for work a month ago and got me an awesome shot glass to add to my collection of over 50!
Tom, my second dad, is doing the Make-A-Wish bike tour again this year in July. He is just amazing, I can barely do 5 miles..... LOL! I can't wait to see him at the finish line again when we volunteer again this year. It is such a blast hanging out there till the bike in.
I am hoping to get a chance to hang out more with my friends this year now that Evan is old enough to hang with us and play with the other kids without me having to observe his every move. How fun will it be to set up more playdates for him! Now if the other moms can just keep in touch with me.
Anyway it's nap time for us. More updates later!
